Some 150 years ago, an Oracle bestowed this blessing on the building which is now Africa House Hotel. Originally a flamboyant Omani slave traders home, it has worn many different facades over the years. Guest house to the Royal family, The English Club, a State owned hotel and eventually a derelict shell used by young tourists on the hippy trail, it was rescued and restored to its current grandeur by an Omani investor.
